I live miles away in Sussex BUT I came across your website after I had used the word 'moot'. Someone asked me, 'We haven't seen you in church' recently.' I replied 'That's a moot question', but I wasn't sure what 'moot' means, so I Googled it and found you. I have also just read Lesslie Newbigin's 'The Other Side of 1984' in which he delivers questions to the churches of the UK and the world. I feel that since 1984 the churches have gone a long way from his questions. I read Theology at King's London, 1963 and ended up with a B.D. Hons, mainly Biblical. This gave me a love of Hebrew and reading the texts in the original, though these skills are rusty. I married a priest, and we spent 7 years in wonderful Malawi. We had 5 children. I am now divorced. I feel isolated because I am a retired R.E. teacher, and I find the ethos of 'church' is opposed to the ethos of the best religious education; 'church' exists to give answers, not to ask questions. My experience of Jesus is that he is ALWAYS asking questions, especially when we think we have the answers. I would welcome a relationship with you, even if only by email and prayer! Best wishes Little Rose
